new rounds from sunderland
The first show opened with the new round Inadvisable Openings followed later by Sound Effects. And Humph tried to explain One Song to the Tune of Another this time by analogy to a garden lawn. The second show had just one new round, Classic Movie Straplines, and there was another marvellous prize for the winner of Pick Up Song.

There were a number of new rounds from the London shows. The first show featured Fat Quotes, Hidden Dangers, Incomplete Newspaper Headlines, and DIY Sci-Fi Drama. And Humph again tried to explain One Song to the Tune of Another by analogy to a peanut. The second show had one new round - Cat, Glass, Pudding. There was a brand new prize for the winner of Pick up Song, and the teams played the Standard Metropolitan version of Mornington Crescent.

Much later than I intended here are the new rounds from the first Southport shows. The first show had two new rounds - Rejected Opening Lines and Blue Peter, while Humph explained One Song to the Tune of Another by analogy to a power drill. There were two new rounds in the second show as well, Complete Bastards and It’s a 4-part Singing Relay Competition Game Sans Frontier. And in honour of Napoleon’s visit to Southport, the teams played the French version of Mornington Crescent, Mornington Croissant.
